63140 Dickey Road, Bend, OR, 97701
Embark at Bend provides short-term residential treatment for preteen and teenage girls facing addiction and behavioral health challenges. The center specializes in dual-diagnosis care, combining evidence-based therapies such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), substance abuse counseling, and recovery groups with experiential and animal-assisted therapies. Residents participate in structured daily schedules that include individual and group therapy, exercise, outdoor activities, and nutritious meals, all designed to support mental health, healthy habits, and personal growth. Family therapy is integrated to strengthen relationships, build confidence, and improve social-emotional functioning, addressing conditions like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder (BPD), self-harm, and family conflict.
At Embark at Bend, therapeutic activities extend beyond traditional treatment, offering access to nature, sensory rooms, animal-assisted therapy, creative projects, and social engagement. Residents enjoy physical activities such as hiking, rock climbing, swimming, and roller skating, as well as yoga, meditation, dance, and improvisation to promote holistic wellness. Structured group activities like laser tag, karaoke, and service projects foster social skills, teamwork, and emotional regulation, helping young girls develop resilience and a strong foundation for lasting recovery from addiction.
