Adult and Teen Challenge South Carolina Men's Rehab, located southwest of Columbia, SC, provides a Christ-centered residential program for men struggling with substance use. Founded by David Wilkerson in 1960, the program is part of a global network with nearly 250 centers in the U.S. and over 1,000 worldwide. The campus offers a structured, faith-based environment emphasizing spiritual growth, personal accountability, and vocational development. Admission requires a one-time $500 fee, with no additional monthly costs, and participants must have completed detox prior to entry.
The program integrates a Bible-based curriculum with life skills, vocational training, and spiritual practices, including sermons, Bible studies, prayer, and retreats. Behavioral health support is provided through Life Renewal counseling, which combines cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and relapse prevention strategies from a Christian perspective. Contact with immediate family is limited and electronic devices are restricted to maintain focus on recovery. Smoking is prohibited, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for men to overcome addiction and achieve lasting transformation.
