Amanda’s House, located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is a women-centered sober living home created in response to the opioid addiction crisis. Founded by a mother who lost her daughter to an opioid overdose, the home continues the original mission of the Mandolin Foundation—to provide women and their children with a safe, supportive environment during recovery. Amanda’s House focuses on healing, stability, and long-term sobriety through community, structure, and compassion.
The home accommodates up to 10 women and 3 children, offering affordable sober living at $400 per month, with an additional $100 per child. Residents participate in 12-Step recovery meetings, mindfulness practices, life skills classes, and required therapy while maintaining outside responsibilities such as work or volunteering for at least 20 hours per week. Women may stay at Amanda’s House for up to two years, allowing time to rebuild independence, strengthen recovery from addiction, and create a healthier future for themselves and their families.
