Passages Ventura, founded in 2009 by father-son duo Chris and Pax Prentiss, is a holistic addiction treatment center located in Ventura, California. The facility was created after Chris developed a holistic program to help his son Pax overcome addiction, and later expanded to help others facing similar struggles. Passages offers a full continuum of care, including drug and alcohol detox, residential inpatient programs, outpatient treatment, and sober living homes. The residential program emphasizes holistic therapies such as massage, hypnotherapy, personal training, psychotherapy, spiritual counseling, and group activities including process groups, reintegration activities, and reiki. The beautiful Ventura campus features gardens, outdoor seating, and a fitness center to support wellness and recovery.
Each client at Passages Ventura works with a 10-person treatment team to receive individualized care. Outpatient options include day treatment for 6-7 hours a day, 5 days a week, and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for 3-4 hours, 3-5 days per week, providing step-down care from residential programs. The facility’s sober living homes, located two blocks from the beach, continue support and focus on building new life habits, community integration, and long-term recovery. Passages Ventura promotes a philosophy of self-love, clarity, and breaking the stigma of addiction, helping clients view themselves as whole individuals and empowering them to achieve a healthier, happier life beyond substance dependence.
