Madrona Recovery for Teens provides holistic residential treatment for adolescents ages 13–17 facing **serious substance use addiction** and co-occurring mental health challenges. Located in Tigard, Oregon, this modern 23-bed facility offers a calming environment where teens participate in a 30–45 day structured program designed to support emotional, behavioral, and academic stability. Each teen begins treatment in a private room, with the option of a roommate later in the program to encourage healthy peer connection. Treatment includes medication management, weekly evidence-based counseling, and daily therapeutic groups centered on life skills, recreation, community building, art therapy, play therapy, and recovery-focused learning.
Madrona Recovery for Teens places strong emphasis on family involvement and balanced academic engagement. Weekly virtual family therapy helps strengthen communication and support systems, while monitored phone calls keep teens connected to loved ones. Although school participation is not required, staff assist with academic continuation for those who choose to stay engaged—providing supervised laptop use and coordination with each student’s home school. Nursing staff evaluates all potential clients to ensure they are ready for treatment, as Madrona can assist with mild detox symptoms but does not offer medically assisted detox. This integrated approach empowers teens to build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and work toward long-term recovery in a safe and encouraging setting.
