The Life Recovery House is a licensed, faith-based residential halfway house supporting women ages 21 and older who are battling severe **substance use disorders**. Located in a peaceful setting near the Appalachian Mountains, the center offers a 6-month, 3.1 inpatient non-hospital program designed to nurture strength, accountability, and long-term healing. With 28 beds, 24/7 staffing, and spiritual guidance woven into daily routines, women engage in trauma-informed therapy, relapse prevention, temperament therapy, and Christ-centered support groups. Daily prayer, Bible study, and meditation complement evidence-based counseling, while classes in life skills, nutrition, art, yoga, and drumming help rebuild confidence and independence.
At The Life Recovery House, residents live together in a safe, structured environment with shared rooms, healthy meals, transportation, and access to nature-based recreation. Weekly house meetings, chores, random drug and alcohol testing, and active participation in recovery programs—including 12-Step involvement with a sponsor—support accountability and progress. Women must arrive with 21 days clean and remain engaged in work, school, outpatient therapy, or community service. This balance of structure, spirituality, and clinical care creates a strong foundation for lasting recovery, purpose, and renewed stability.
