APT Foundation provides comprehensive outpatient care for individuals facing addiction, substance use disorders, drug addiction, alcohol addiction, and co-occurring mental health conditions. Through its West Haven Clinic, the program offers individual, group, and family therapy, medication management, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) in a supportive, trauma-informed environment. Clients may also enroll in an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that meets three days per week and delivers at least nine hours of structured therapy, counseling, and psychiatric support while allowing participants to continue daily responsibilities.
At APT Foundation, treatment is rooted in evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). Daily therapeutic groups address trauma, grief, relapse prevention, mindfulness, goal setting, and wellness, alongside MAT options including methadone and buprenorphine. Psychiatric services support safe medication use and adjustments, with telehealth options available when needed. Founded in 1970, APT Foundation follows an open-access model, offering care regardless of ability to pay and ensuring that individuals seeking recovery support can access high-quality treatment without financial barriers.
