Kern Medical Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) is a licensed 25-bed adult facility providing compassionate, individualized care for adults in crisis. The unit focuses on recovery-oriented behavioral health services to stabilize symptoms, promote mental wellness, and empower clients. BHU offers comprehensive programs including psychiatric and medical evaluations, medication education and management, individual and group therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), substance abuse education, relaxation techniques, coping skills training, and pet therapy. Clients also receive guidance to connect with community support services for ongoing recovery. BHU accepts most insurance plans, and dedicated health benefit advisors assist clients in understanding payment options, ensuring accessible care. With a focus on evidence-based practices and personalized treatment, Kern Medical BHU helps individuals manage mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and build a foundation for long-term stability and wellbeing.
