The functional medicine approach focuses on getting to the root cause of the problem. By definition, if you try to cut a weed at the surface, it will most likely grow back. However, if you pull the weed out from the root, you will most likely fix the problem and the weed will not grow back. This is the exact approach that we focus on using functional medicine. Instead of trying to cover up the issue by adding another medication, we will find out what is causing the problem and develop a customized plan to optimal wellness.
