Muir Wood Teen Treatment Clovis, founded in 2013, is a Joint Commission-accredited residential program for teens ages 12-17 struggling with mental health, behavioral, and substance use challenges. The program maintains gender-separated housing and serves up to 18 teens per location, providing highly individualized care with a family-centered approach. Staff includes double-board-certified psychiatrists, licensed therapists, and nursing professionals who work closely with teens through comprehensive psychological assessments, weekly family intensives, twice-weekly individual therapy, family support groups, and ongoing psychiatrist evaluations. Experiential and adventure therapies, including hiking, art and music therapy, yoga, and meditation, are integrated to enhance emotional and behavioral growth.
In addition to therapy, Muir Wood supports teens academically with accredited programs for grades 7-12, virtual learning options, and on-site academic staff. The Clovis campuses are set on 40 acres of natural surroundings, offering activities like sports, yoga, meditation, and outdoor recreation, alongside nutritious meals prepared by executive chefs. The program also emphasizes family involvement and evidence-based treatment while providing recovery-friendly outings and opportunities for social engagement. Muir Wood Teen Treatment accepts most major private insurance, ensuring access to quality care and holistic support for long-term recovery and personal development.
