Great Lakes Women’s Rehab, also known as the Robby Dawson Home for Women, is a nonprofit residential recovery center for adult women. Located in Milwaukee’s historic Concordia Neighborhood, it offers a long-term program that blends Christian principles with daily counseling, education, and job training. As part of the respected Adult & Teen Challenge network, the center focuses on holistic care to support lasting personal and spiritual transformation.
The program follows a Christ-centered philosophy, combining spiritual guidance with proven methods. Through four recovery phases—Recovery, Renewal, Restoration, and Transition—residents work to overcome harmful behaviors and build a new foundation for life. Each woman receives personalized care like counseling and mentorship from licensed therapists and spiritual advisors. This supportive, all-female setting promotes transformation based on faith and personal growth, while fostering strong bonds and providing support from experienced staff.
Great Lakes Women’s Rehab is a voluntary program – participation is based on personal commitment. Residents live on-site in a shared, distraction-free environment designed to support focus and accountability. To help residents stay focused on their recovery, the center prohibits electronic devices. Each day follows a structured routine that includes Bible study, counseling sessions, physical activity, work responsibilities, and group meetings. The program encourages healthy habits, life skills, and a renewed sense of purpose grounded in spiritual growth.
