APT Foundation North Haven Clinic delivers comprehensive outpatient care for individuals struggling with addiction, substance use disorders, drug addiction, alcohol addiction, and co-occurring mental health conditions. The clinic provides individual, group, and family therapy, medication management, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) in a structured, trauma-informed setting. Clients may also participate in an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that meets three days per week and includes at least nine hours of group therapy, individual counseling, and psychiatric consultation, allowing recovery support while maintaining work, school, or family commitments.
At APT Foundation North Haven Clinic, treatment is grounded in evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). Daily therapeutic groups address trauma, stress, grief, relapse prevention, psychoeducation, mindfulness, expressive arts, acupuncture, tai chi, horticulture, and goal setting. MAT options include methadone and buprenorphine, with psychiatric oversight to ensure safe and effective medication use. Telehealth services are available when needed, and family and couples therapy supports long-term emotional and relational health. As part of APT Foundation, which has provided substance use treatment since 1970, the clinic follows an open-access model and offers care regardless of ability to pay.
