The Teen Challenge Alum Rock Women & Children’s Center provides long-term, faith-based residential care for single women, pregnant women, and mothers with children. This 12 to 18-month program supports women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction in a safe, structured setting, promoting healing physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Easily accessible via public transit, the center is less than a mile from the Alum Rock Transit Center on the VTA Orange Line. Residents receive personalized care through mentoring, parenting classes, job skills training, and faith-based guidance that empowers them to rebuild their lives with confidence and purpose.
Daily routines at the center combine education, work projects, recreation, and uplifting group activities to nurture holistic recovery. Children enjoy safe, engaging spaces such as an on-site playground, while game nights like UNO and Pictionary encourage connection and fun for all residents.
