South Bay Guidance Wellness Recovery Center, serving Chula Vista and southern San Diego County, provides comprehensive care for adults 18 and older with serious mental illnesses and co-occurring substance use disorders. The center offers behavioral health and psychiatric evaluations, medication management, individual and group counseling, peer support, case management, care coordination, mobile outreach, and crisis intervention. Clients also receive assistance with education and employment to support holistic recovery and long-term well-being.

As part of the Community Research Foundation, South Bay Guidance Wellness Recovery Center delivers integrated, strength-based, culturally competent, and trauma-informed care. Clients are actively involved in goal-setting, with family and significant others encouraged to participate. Services are offered in English and Spanish, and the center accepts Medi-Cal, Medi-Cal/Medicare dual coverage, and uninsured individuals, ensuring accessible mental health and substance use care for all in the community.
