Urban Model is a housing support and recovery program operated by Recovery Network of Programs for individuals experiencing homelessness who are living with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. As part of RNP’s continuum of care, the program serves people with complex needs by combining stable housing with recovery-focused services that promote life skills development, stabilization, and progress toward independent living.
The Urban Model program offers both transitional and supportive housing options, including partnerships with local shelters and off-site apartments for extended stays. Participants receive comprehensive case management, illness management support, relapse prevention services for drug addiction and alcohol addiction, and structured life skills training. Substance use assessment and treatment grounded in motivational enhancement therapy further support long-term recovery, helping individuals build stability, strengthen wellness, and move toward sustainable, independent living.
